HELP!!!!!

Soooo yesterday my car started acting like it was out of gas, so I filled it up and it only took 10 gallons(my gas gauge doesn't work), then it would start but wouldn't run so I started and reved it and it acted fine so started driving home and it started acting like i was giving it gas hard then letting off when I had it about 1/4 throttle, and everytime I stopped I had to keep starting it up over and over again but after awhile it smoothened out and just ran rough and really rich

Any suggestions???? One of my buddies said it could be the fuel pressure regulator but hes been wrong before

We need to know more about your car.

Have you replaced the fuel filter? Have you checked the fuel pressure at the rails? Have you ohmed the injectors to make sure they're good?

There's alot you can do, we just need to know a bit more about your car before offering advice. On a side note, my car does that occasionally, the throttle seems to stick open and run wild to 6K RPM, only way to get it to stop is to shut down the motor. Took my carb off and cleaned it really well, seems to have fixed it but was still wierd.

Re: HELP!!!!!

Sorry it took so long but its an 88 TA tbi and it has a newer fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator and the last I checked a couple weeks ago it was at 11psi or so. It started acting up today again but only I drove around for a couple hours and parked it. It acted as if it was out of gas, but eventually it stayed running long enough for me to take off and then there was no problem other than it running warmer than usual and pretty rough

I haven't yet ohmed the injectors tho
