I tried that and it didnt work. I have a digital dash in my car and saw nothing displayed.

Have you tried spraying starter fluid into it to see if it fires?

Yes i have, I used Cold Start. It tries to fire but still doesnt. I swapped the relays out yesterday for the fans and fuel pump. That didnt help either.

Well Ive been told to change my spark plugs out?? I have ordered some e3 plugs and will do this next week. Do you have to jack up the car to change plugs on an 87 TA. There is no room to get access to the plugs from the top.

Mine is an 87 and yes I had to do it from underneath and it was not easy I came out pretty cutup, youre going to need a flex head ratched in there. Took me awhile, not to mention I did it at midnight in darkness and half in the bag haha. I still think you should re-evaluate your immobilizer before changing anything else. Mine did the same thing cranked over full power wouldnt fire, it was because of my immobilizer. Do you have a FOB?

Re: 1987 TA GTA cranks but doesnt fire

no luck yet...I was changing out the fuel filter yesterday and one nut is completely seized on it...sprayed it to see if the threads would break free but is seized quite good. I am going to have my car towed to a shop and let them take a look at it. Ive spent so much time on this without any sucess.

OK, maybe I was wrong on the start year, but my 87 doesn't have VATs.

I'm glad you fixed it but didn't understand what was bad. Congratulations! Should have mine running in the summer.
