Engine: 305
Transmission: 700-r4 B&M console megashifter
77 to 83

Hi guys my question is will a 350 engine from a 77 firebird fit in my 83 transam and if it does can I bolt it up to my 700r4 tranny? Any advise will really help thank you and if you need more info please let me know

Is the engine in the 77 firebird a pontiac, chevy, olds(possibly), or buick(not likely) engine? The Buick, olds, & pontiac engines share the same bellhousing pattern (BOP pattern), it different from a chevy pattern.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with a Pontiac 350, but hey, it's your car and your money.
