oil pressure sender vs fuel pressure

hey guys,
just curious to know, but can a faulty oil pressure sender cause a fuel pump to slowly drop pressure eventually to about 2-3psi on a tbi v8??

i got the valve connected before the fuel filter to see if my pump is putting out the pressure it should. at prime, it hits 10-11psi... after about 15minutes running time, goes down to about 2, causing the car to sputter dramatically..

btw, i changed this pump 8 months ago, and the car has only seen about 40 miles since.. after i changed it the car ran great for a few weeks, then started acting up so parked it and slowly worked on it. now i really need it to run. all your advice is well appreciated. thanks again guys.

so, low voltage to the fuel pump wouldnt do this?? im askin cuz someone told me the oil pressure sensor provides voltage to the pump after its running.. i hope theyre wrong. lol
how bout fuel pump relay??

They're wrong. Unlikely that any components are causing the voltage to the fuel pump to drop slowly anyway. When they fail they fail outright.

You originally asked about the oil pressure sender, which drives the gauge and has nothing to do with anything else. There's no oil pressure sensor at all, which would be to provide a reading to the computer. There is an oil pressure switch, but it's only a backup and doesn't power the pump unless the relay fails.
