opinions for carbed 305 build
soon i will be starting on rebuilding the engine in my 86 firebird, right now it has a carbed 305 for an 84 T/A, so far untill i can run the serial number i am skeptical that it really is (PO credibility waned when i really looked into the whole car after i got it)
i have some of my own plans since im gonna use the setup that was done to my 92 camaro and go from there, but i want to know what you guys think is a good build for a 305. I'm not expecting the greastest thing ever considering its just a 305 but i want it to be respectable.
and just to shed a little light on my camaros setup (it wasnt built by me it was fiance's dad) it is mostly unchanged it has a new crankshaft, chrome valve covers with breathers, heads bored out, msd blastercoil, msd plug cables, bosch platinum +4s, and has a turb350 coupled to it, so far it runs about as good if not better than a tip top shape 350. no track times yet but it gets 0-60 in about 4-5 seconds
EDIT: i also forgot to mention it has broken 2 flywheels since it was rebuilt
