The amount of power stuffed under the hood is CRAZY and beside the slicks it looks like a sleeper! Be nice to have that in my car but that's another day. 1017 horsepower and 883 pound feet of torque is just stupid crazy but man is it nice.

...there's a picture of it at the track but why no times? They brag about dyno numbers because the car probably runs way slower than it should for it's HP....

 

If you can't get the power to the ground, even 1200 HP will only run a 12 second 1/4 mile. Dyno power is only bragging rights.

Sour puss? How does stating a fact make me a sour puss? You verified exactly what I suspected - Your car makes huge numbers on a dyno but doesn't perform at the track. I'm sorry but pro-built top dollar cars that make 1000+HP yet only run 10's aren't impressive. You also can't claim you are "capable" of driving from NY to FL yet admit in the same post that your car broke on it's FIRST track pass. That means it has a 0% reliability rating at this point.

I'm really not trying to be a you-know-what here but I'm just not impressed by people that fork over a blank check to a performance shop, get a huge dyno number, and then go on internet bragging campaigns despite accomplishing absolutely nothing.

That picture of it at the track looks like Atco? Interested in proving that you can get that 1200HP down with a grudge race for a few bucks? Just throwing that offer out there... we have a few street cars that'll make no where near 1200HP that'll give you a shot...

I'm really not knocking you here and my previous statements still stand: forking out a ton of cash on such a car, getting a huge dyno number, and then running slower than you should at the track is just not impressive to me. I'd be very angry if my pro-built, best-of-the-best, trailered race car made over 1000HP at the rear wheels but only ran 9.29 @ 148.8mph.

and again, my offer still stands if you're interested in a race for a few bucks... I'll come with a car that is all steel, has a stock bottom end, and is driven to the track

 

Got to say that I'm one of them that doesnt really care for people who just write big checks. I'm also not impressed by big numbers that dont perform. If I had into my car the amount of money that that car does, it damn well better be faster than 9's. I guess I'll go on and be sourpuss #4. My car may be a lot slower, but at least I built my car.

This race that'll never occur is tied to something that'll prove something: You stated that it is impossible to build a car as fast as yours for $5000... So, why not race this car that you claim is impossible to exist? It would be very easy money for you... Lsray, i think you've got a very impressive car there. You've got a ton of power in a real street car. Most of us would love to have a thirdgen setup exactly the same way if we could.

I still think thirdgens look better (when clean), but you've got a very nice car there and you know it. Enjoy it for the rest of us!

 

i can show u a 3rdgen trans am with a junkyard motor and 2 turbos that has made faster passes.and its a gen1 sbc not an lsx variety engine

so yes it can be done
