EGR Solenoid
My car was pieced togethor by the previous owner, I am in the process of 'cleaning' up the engine bay and connecting things that were not connected. None of my vacuum lines are connected, I have figured out where each line goes, but have now encountered a more serious issue. My car, 1988 TA GTA, 305 TPI, has no EGR solenoid, doesnt even have the wiring harness. I know the wiring harness has been cut here and there to make other things connect, I dont know what year the harness is from, or what year the motor is from, it does have the cold start injector so its anywhere from a 86-88, if my reading is correct as this was removed in 89
So do i remove the EGR, and just reprogram the chip or should i go about re-connecting the EGR? whats the better route?
If i reconnect is there somewhere i can connect the missing EGR wires? or do I have to run new wires back to the computer?
I need to get this vacuum line issue fixed as I am suffering from a rough idle, smell of gas, and terrible gas mileage, all symptoms of bad vacuum lines from my readings.
Appreciate all help
