Did The 91..

So quick question, the 1991 z28 camaro came with a CAI? stock? the CAI i bought was told to me that it was a stock intake from a 1992 z28 camaro, is it really a CAI? and will it kick for the buck i got it for?

ALSO

How would i add a MAF port in it to be working with my car?

Re: Did The 91..

All of the fuel injected third gen Camaros Ive seen had cold air intakes. They draw cool air from in front of the radiator. I think you must mean a port for the inlet air temp sensor? Your car shouldn't have a MAF sensor. The 91 is speed density. I went along with Kevin91Z and modified mine to flow alot more air(notice the 4" tube in my sig photo) and I also converted the air inlet at the front into ram air. I noticed the difference right away.

Re: Did The 91..

Wow. That's a new one for me. The lower picture looks to me like a Firebird air intake. I have not seen one of those on a Camaro. The upper picture is what I would expect on any EFI Camaro, even the V6 models. Yes it will work. To install your IAT sensor, look just to the driver's side of the outlet where the hose to the TB attaches. You will see a small, flat, round area. this is where the IAT sensor would be installed on later models. You will have to get creative with JB weld or something similar to mount the sensor.

Humm, I was thinking (never a good sign) that the V6 version was equipped with a connection of some sort on the driver's side of the snorkel while the V8 version wasn't so equipped. Sorry, I'm not really familiar with the design.
