Delete kit only used to make things look purty
Removing the EGR valve will have no effect on the code being shown so you may as well leave it in place.
Getting EGR deleted from the tune will remove the code

Re: egr delete

OK, really appreciate the quick reply

So I dont need to remove the EGR and block it off? leaving it wont cause any issues, like vacuum issues?

Also if i get a ALDL cable, can i use that to disable EGR in the PROM or do I have to get the PROM reflashed by third party?

Not if it is sealing the EGR port correctly
Unless you are taking the TPI intake apart , is easier to leave valve on place and remove vac line to it

You need a custom tune with EGR deleted

Re: egr delete

Ok so should the EGR be closed or open position, which is correct if vacuum is unhooked?

the previous owner has installed a re-certified ECM and a hypertech chip, can i purchase a add on with EGR disabled and use with this chip? or must it be programmed by third party, if so any one in Canada recommeneded? or can i just disable EGR using a ALDL cable?

sorry for all the questions, really appreciate all the great help

if working correctly valve should be closed with no vac; vac is what makes it open (obviously )
