Engine: 305 4 bbl

Transmission: 700R4 auto

Axle/Gears: posi

Flat or roller cam???

Does anyone know if a stock 1986 Trans-Am with a 305 4bbl has a flat-tappet or a roller cam. Thanks for any info.

I'd use a zddp additive, or 15w 30w diesel oil. With new oils your cam and lifters will wear down.
