FUEL PUMP SWAP????

Car: 1984 Z28
Engine: 5.0 L (Carbed)
Transmission: 5-Speed
Axle/Gears: Lazy 2 check
FUEL PUMP SWAP????
So I got a 84 z28 carbed engine, and I was at the junkyard and took of a fuel pump of a V6 87 RS and I was wondering if I could just use that sending unit on my z28 becuase my sending unit has gone bad.....can I use it or will it not work??thanks!

Should work fine. I'd clean it up really good first though and make sure it's in good shape.
