88 GTA 5.0 TPI Fuel Pump

Hi Guys my question i hope is simple upon inspection of my TA ive found that the Fuel Pump is toast SO my question is whats the presure of a stock pump and CAn i go with an inline fuel pump instead of replacing with in tank model

Not unless you drop the tank and remove the in-tank pump first.

I don't understand the attraction to in-line pumps. Just replace the in-tank pump. How long did it last, 25 years?
