Code 24, but has brand new VSS?
My speedo has worked on and off for the past half year, no codes or anything over that time. I just bought a new sensor for it last week since I rebuilt the trans and figured I might as well fix that too. Now im getting a code 24(VSS sensor) when driving, wtf? The speedo hasn't even tried to work since putting the new sensor inn though.
What would you guy recommend checking first? The wires at the connection on the trans looked alittle kinked so i replaced that section.

Pull the VSS and check the gear on it. If it is stripped then the gear on the output shaft is likely in the wrong location. One location is for y-body's while the other location is for f-body's. they each use a different tail housing.
It also may be that the retainer clip on the output shaft isn't holding the gear.
