Preferred Sealant for intake manifold

I've been looking a lot online as I'm getting stuff together to re-seal my intake manifold and throw on a new gasket (it's got a slight leak so it's been idling a bit rough lately) and I keep seeing all kinds of different opinions.

I've always been told in the past to use RTV red, but I was wondering what you guys use. I've heard good things about Permatex black, and lots of good things about edelbrock's "gasgacinch" as far as coating the gasket itself. I ordered some of the latter, but I'm still up in the air for the china walls.

Opinions?

Much appreciated, as always

edit: 350 sbc, edelbrock performer intake

I use Ultra Black from Permatex. Never had a problem.

Same. Just about any silicone based substance will work though.

The Right Stuff is all I use. Sticks to the metal better than a silicone.
