Hey guys,
Was trying to find the casting number on the 305 engine in my 84 bird. Original owner said there was considerable work done to the car around 1991 but he doesnt remember where or have the reciepts for it. When I got to where the casting number would be there is a displacement casting there cant see everything real well but definitely 5.0L I am guessing the casting number is around or nearbyu to that. Question is any one have an Idea of what year they started the displacement stampings on the blocks? I am going to pullingt he alternator here this week and will look at the date stamping to see if sheads any light on the situation.
