Oops! I think I donked my distributor....

Ok, I was going to check my rotor in the distributor, I disconnected the negative bat cable (not both) and I heard a zap when I removed the battery wire hook up to the dist. Thinking that it was enough to just remove the negative side, obviously now I know better, so learned my lesson. But , the car is hesitating during acceleration with WOT. If you disconnect the neg batt terminal it will not allow anything to0 grounf to the battery so you would have no zap, unless you were messing with esd component without being grounded. But I highly doubt that is the case. Triple check all connections, I had a hesitate and backfire when the coil was failing.
