I finally got my car running after approx 2 years of diag, replacing parts and guessing...

I got lucky enough to check craigslist in one of the cities that I go to for work and got ahold of a guy that had EVERYTHING that I needed. I ended up getting a FULL wiring harness, Distributor, ECM with hypertech stage 2, Spark control module, EGR relay, and a Granatelli MAF...put it mostly all together in my car and BAM, it runs...just have to do some tuning and should be ready to shed some rubber of the almost new BFG's on the rear end.

On a note about tuning...she's running really hot right off the get go...any ideas... I didn't know if this was a result of the hypertech chip or something else.

1st, Check your base timing, ditch that chip for a stock chip and I'd try to find a stock MAF.

 

many stock chips to choose from...need to find one that's good...throughout diag and repairs killed a few ecm's. base timing is set to 6 deg as the tag on the hood and haynes manual. If I can find a stock maf I'll try it...but I got the granatelli dialed in relatively quick. I was able to actually get the car out and drive it...got a stoic and used that to dial in the granatelli.
