Okay guys and girls, I ask for your assistance of the sorts. I will be compiling a searchable PDF document (that will be posted on here) that will list as much interchangeable parts (from similar and other vehicles) as possible. They're are many people out there (myself included) that are attempting to hunt down this information for use during swap meets and/or junk yard hunts. We could go to Hollander for some of this information, however I also want to include a customization section for the other [maybe some off the wall projects] including (but not limited to) door handle swaps, 4th gen swaps, etc.

I ask you guys to either post on here or PM me information to help populate this PDF. Every little bit helps! This does seem to be a rather time consuming task, but if people out there can use the information, it will definitely be worth it.

Please just let me know the part name [and number if available], years & models of the 'donor vehicles' and (if you know) is it a direct bolt on part or does it need to be modified.

Finally, if there is anything that you guys want to see in this PDF specifically, just let me know.

 

What's wrong with the current system? Why create your new hassle?

 

It's not that there is an issue with the 3rd gen platform; this is more of less a one stop shop for information. I, personally, am a fan of modification; some people are, some are not. I am compiling this info for my use and do not mind sharing the information.

Also, there are several items that are interchangeable across the Chevy production; having this information can be worth its weight in gold at times. There are several items that I refuse to purchase from Autozone and part stores alike; stuff like the MAF sensor, ECM, etc are in my opinion junk. They are either rebuilt or refurbished by the lowest bidder and some people would prefer to just hunt through a bone yard to find a decent part. This is where the spreadsheet/PDF would help. Granted you could search through-out the interwebs for the information that you need, but I would much rather search a single document.
