Looking for advice on fuel lines
My new engine has the HSR setup (old one was the TPI). I have the fuel rail installed and have removed the factory fuel hoses near the driver side fender. So I basically need to plump the supply and return line from the fender to the fuel rail.
The kit came with two 16MM x 1.5 to hose barb fittings, I assume these are for the rail-side connection. So if I went with hose, I would need to find another adapter like this plus a 18MM x 1.5 one. But, I'm not sure if I want to use hose for this or if I'd be better off buying something else (aluminum? stainless?) and taking the time to bend it properly. My brother owns a repair shops so I have access to all the correct tubing bending tools.
Also, the fuel rail has a Schrader valve port (1/8" NPT). They recommend using this port to check the fuel pressure. Is it a good or bad idea to install a fuel pressure gauge here permanently or is this something you just put in to adjust the pressure and then remove?
