TPI Fuel Pump?

I have an 83 CFI and I recently replaced the fuel pump. I was trying to get my fuel pressure to 14 or 15 psi, but even with the regulator at max, I am only at 13 psi. I'm guessing the fuel pump cant provide any more pressure? (Bosch 69237) I couldnt find any info on it regarding max psi.

I was wondering if running the pump at max psi would shorten its life and if i should just swap a TPI fuel pump now?

Thanks in advance

Re: TPI Fuel Pump?

It has been a long time since I checked fuel press on a CFI but aren't they supposed to be like 11.5 or 12 psi?
I do remember they're very sensitive abt the press being set right on the money..
Not sure what you're trying to do, but 14-15 sounds too high for a CFI.

Re: TPI Fuel Pump?

The factory setting is supposed to be from 9-12 psi but a lot of the CFI guys on this site suggest 13-15 psi. I have 13 psi but I'm not sure if the pump will last running at max?
