Acceleration issues and runablilty problems

Hey there I have recently purchased a 91 pontiac firebird base model with a 3.1l 6 cyl. When i got the car it had this problem with acceleration. everytime i try to acellerate it will pick up a litle bit then it seems like it is just completely cutting out. i have to feather and pump the gas to even move. it will only do this in gear at first. will idle pretty smooth and rev fine. when i got home i shut it off and could not get it started without starting fluid. hard to start even with fluid. after messing with it a little bit i replaced a few things in hopes it would fix the problem but i have had no luck.

i replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, oxygen sensor, fuel pump relay, and the map sensor. i had almost no results at all with these fixes except now that i replaced pump relay it will start on its own with no fluid.

it will now idle fine and smooth and rev smoothly in park or nuetral but as soon as i put it in gear it idles kinda low and has the same acceleration issue. and then after putting back in park continues to run rough until i shut it off and restart it.

somebody please help me with this. i really cannot afford to keep buying these parts that arent fixing anything...
