Piston to valve clearance L98

I am looking at swapping the camshaft in my 1989 L98 and putting Vortec heads on it. Should I be worried about piston to valve clearance with the stock shortblock?

I am looking at cams in the 220-230 range @.050 with about .500 to .525 lift.

Thanks!

What is the best way to check it with the motor in the car?
