350 heads advice

so i got this crap 350 crate from Jegs for free (gift), and im building it. I plan on upgrading the heads, cam, timing chain, oil pump for a larger pan, full exhaust and possibly a power adder. the heads right now are cast iron 76CC goodwrench. and the cam is a hydraulic flat tappet. any recommendations on heads? I got 3500$ from insurance due to an accident, and I'm trying to sell the stock heads right now. thanks alot

Re: 350 heads advice

U wont sell those crap heads for anything better off let them go to the scrap or just collect rust an dust. I would look into either aluminun heads or a nice set of vortec heads off a later 350 truck the 906 vortec could flow good numbers but u cant use a big lift cam on them

Re: 350 heads advice

Jegs 180-195 cc brand heads or go patriot 185's for budget head. Cam it up to match the head and run a good dual plane intake. Should be an easy 400-450hp with a 268 type cam
