LT1 first start
My 92 camaro has been parked for about 4 years now, the 305 started losing oil pressure and I decided to park it & go ahead with the LT1 swap that I'd been planning. In the time I've had it parked it seems like I always either had plenty of time to work on it but no $ to buy parts, or plenty of $ to buy parts but no time to work on it, never a happy medium between the 2. As a result I would get a little done here & there in my spare time, about 2 years ago we dropped the motor (rebuilt LT1) into the car, but the rest of the car wasn't ready to get it running. Hopefully tomorrow we'll be able to finish up putting the tank back in & get the rear axle reattached, then we should be able to start the engine for the first time since it was rebuilt. The oil pump was primed before it was dropped in the car, but obviously that's been awhile now and I'd imagine the oil has all drained out of the lifters. My concern is starting the engine up without having the lifters pressurized. I've been told that I should be ok to disconnect the fuel pump & coil & cranking the engine to let the oil pump repressurize them. Is that good info or am I stuck taking the intake off?
tl;dr version:
Freshly rebuilt LT1 was installed 2 years ago, but hasn't yet been started, what's the best way to make sure it doesn't die from a lack of oil without removing the intake, or is that really the only option?

Re: LT1 first start
I used the existing motor mounts from the 92, I used a relocation kit to move the a/c compressor to about where the corvettes had theirs mounted.
