Best New Ignition Timing Light? Broke mine...

My 20 year old standard timing light cord was accidently eaten by the front engine pullies today. There must be some newer ignition lights out there that are a pleasure to use and have a couple features such as showing engine rpm??? Thanx, Nitro

If I were on the market for a timing light, I'd look for a digital advance model. Internal battery power would be a plus; two less leads to get tangled up in the pulleys.

Equus has a nice one for about $110.
I never used one. I have the standard auto parts store dial type.

Timing Is Everything

You asked for the best so try a Ferret brand timing light it has the capabilities you mentioned and more, their best one is only $340.

Happy Racing!

After you buy the Ferret will meet you and you can buy us dinner. The bills are flying out of his wallet.

Sometimes a tool can sure be an investment. At least with knowing what's best, it makes it easier to start making an informed decision or to start looking for a used one on Craig's List or Ebay. Sometimes a 50% off tool sale will bring something like that into a really affordable range.

Thanks for the input guys; I hate buying a tool 'twice'! Nitro
