305tbi to 383 stroker

OK, I am in the slow process of building my car. I am going to eventually swap out the 305 for a 383 stroker. Right now I am just going to try and do some basic bolt on stuff to my 305, but the stuff I buy I would like to fit on the striker motor. I am going to do an MSD box and get rid of the computer. I am going to have to buy headers, distributed, intake, and carberator to fit the 305 for now......I am going to run her till she blows! But my question is, what can I get that I can use on the 305 as well as the stroker? I don't want to have t rebuy parts if at all possible. The 383 is a crate motor from classic performance and will require the above items when I put it in.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

This may be the start of my build thread...........

you're better off saving your money and putting it all towards the 383. The intake and headers will be consistant between the two, but 78 more cubes is a big jump. Buying a carb for a 305 is going to have different demands than a 383.. I'd honestly wait it out if I were you and do it all at one time. That's what I did, and it saves you cash from having to rebuy parts left and right.

I was going to go ahead and get the dual plain intake and a 750 double pump (and jet it down). I am curious as to headers and distributer. I PM'd Dyno Don about his headers, so I guess I will find out about that interchange anyway...LOL!!!

Time for Carbs 101
Changing the jetting does nothing to reduce the airflow (CFM )which is too much for a stock 305 ,
especially with cr*p heads and peanut cam
IF you could spin your 305 to 6K it would only pump 530 CFM (A 350 only pumps 600 CFM @ 6K)
Guaranteed to be a pig
Bad idle , no acceleration and no fuel economy ; sounds like a plan
