Advanced timing to 12 and now idles at 2000...?

So the other day I advanced my timing to about 12 degress and it seems to like it there but the problem is that my engine is low idling at 2000RPM's.....?how can I lower it?

It's a carb? If so then just back the idle adjustment screw out a little. You're not using a computer controlled distributor are you? When you switch to regular carb you need to switch to a distributor with vacuum advance capability.
