Getting my car ready for the spring.
You may be thinking to yourself why would some one be getting ready for the spring when its winter? Well the 92 Z is going back on the road from being off for a long time so i'm trying to clean it up and get it ready for the road. So i was cleaning it some what today and took a photo and noticed something odd. The coolant temp is in the red when its not even on! Why is that? and what can i do to correct this problem. I'm going to get a full service on the Motor, brake system, Power steering, and new speakers in the spring. But i would like to figure what the problem is now so when i take it to get the work done i know what the cause is.
Here's the pic.

Why does it matter what the gauge says when the car is off? I wouldn't worry about it as long as it shows something reasonable when the car is on.
