Stalling

My car runs great except for a stalling at a light once and a while. Well it has gotten worse
It seems as though when I come to a stop just after the engine goes into closed loop it will stall. It will idle for a second or two then just cut off. It starts right back up but I give it a little gas while holding the break to be sure it does not stall again.
Question = can I take out the IAC valve and just clean it and the opening then put it back in with out a reset procedure as long as I don't move any thing ?

Re: Stalling

Yes, you can remove the valve and clean it without adjusting anything. Also clean the hole that the valve seats on while you have it out.
