For my 92 with a 3.1L, I understand that the swap needs to be a 3.4L from a 93 or 94 Camaro. But, would a 3.4L from a 93 or 94 Firebird work the same? Also, in a 93 or 94 was the 3.4L the only V6 engine for those cars so I just need to find a V6 in one of those years without trying to figure out block numbers? Thanks...
First off yes the 3.4 used in the camaro or firebird will be the same 3.4. Secondly no there was the 4.3 v6 as well. you might want to do some homework on that. i dont know if the 3.4 and the 4.3 share the same block or not.

Camaro & Firebird are the same car; just different wrinkles in the sheet metal skin, and the stickers. All the parts that actually DO STUFF, like the engine, are the same.
No the 4.3 is not the same as the 3.8/3.1/3.4. Only thing they have in common is the # of missing cylinders.

Does anyone have a VIN decoder for the 93/94 Camaro/Firebird that gives a clue as to which engine is in it? Or, maybe just a block number for the 3.4L? Thanks.
