new third gen owner!
Hey what's up everyone. I'm new to third gen camaros. This is my first american muscle car and so far I'm loving it! I just recently bought a red 92 RS 5.0 with 130k on the odo. Its been very well kept. I have a few questions. first I've never owned a vehicle with tbi, the idle is steady at about 650rpm but the car seems to vibrate quite a bit is this normal idle? Second after I shut the car off a few seconds later I hear a hissing sound from under the drivers side this is where the fuel fil ter is located correct? And lastly when shifting into second gear there's a thud in the rear what links or arms can cause this? Any input would be great thanks.

Welcome aboard and welcome to the world of 3rd gens. I believe the hissing you hear is normal, mine does the same thing. Has something to do with evaporative emissions I believe. The rough idle could just be dirty injectors needing some cleaner run though them or an air filter change. The "thud"???? Possibly a broken tranny mount.

Hissing is likely no problem, either the fuel pump, or the A/C equilizing the pressure. Clunk could be anything, tranny mount is a good place to start.
But no, there should be no vibration at idle. 305 TBI idles very smooth, something is wrong. Could be anything, but I would check ignition first, it's one of those things that people seem to neglect.
