Timing tab

When I replaced the timing chain, i also threw on a chrome cover, but, it had no timing tab, I know they sell them on jegs and other places, but is it just as simple as bolting it on? Or is there any adjustment that would need to be made or whatever?

Re: Timing tab

Look for one that accommodates the 12:00 timing mark position.

I haven't ever seen one; doesn't mean there isn't one, but ...

It would have to somehow hold the mark near the center of the timing cover; not right close to the edge like most of the ones that are sold to go with those covers whose primary design criterion seems to be to take the money of the unwary.
