How much lift for AFR210s

Hi, title says it all really, how much lift should I aim for with AFR210s? They seem to like quite a bit.

Cheers

Depends on the motor goals and requirements. Specs on setup?

Re: How much lift for AFR210s

Sorry, I was looking for a generic how much lift can I get away with. The engine is a 400 Dart SHP, AFR210, solid roller about 245@50, 10:1.

Re: How much lift for AFR210s

Well they come with different spring options, and possibly different valve stem lengths for different installed heights. That will give all kinds of lift capacities.
Did you order heads yet? What spring package did you get?

Solid roller of that size isnt big duration wise but capable of making big power. Lift i would run near .650-.660 or so, but like said it depends on how heads are setup. So many options available. Then you need to know piston to deck clearance and check for piston to valve clearances. Depending on how cam is installed, meaning intake centerline angle and the cams lsa value, you can have varying piston-valve clearances. So lift capability can change for given cam lobe.

Lots of variables.

If you wanted like 500 hp which is mild for that combo, really dont need much lift. .520-.550 could do it lol. Making max hp for the heads? It may need .650-.700.
