I have a 9 bolt BW on my car already .. 5 speed .. but instead of the 3.45s I have the 3.27s.. would I notice a big increase ?? will the 3.27s slow down my 1/4 mile et?
why did the 5 speeds get the 3.45s??
could not find an answer to this.. I did find something about the way the auto was geared ? but that kinda didn't answer my question ..
thanks!

Manual transmission cars typically get lower factory gear ratios because that buyer wants performance. A fifth gear (compared to a 4 speed auto) also gives a higher overdrive ratio in order to slow the engine down at highway speeds to preserve some fuel ecomony. There isn't a huge difference between 3.27 and 3.45 however.
