Belt positions? (pic)

Need help to figure out the position of the belts on this 350 The way the guy before me had it was a flat belt around alternator, water pump, harmonic balancer. and one V belt around Harmonic and power steering pump. Is this correct? It does not have much of the flat belt on the water pump this way.... Would I be ok to put a V belt around the water pump, harmonic and power steering?

Re: Belt positions? (pic)

Sounds like the 86/87 setup.

Flat ribbed belt for the WP & alt, V belts for everything else.

No further figuring required if it all fits and works.

Although from your description, sounds like it might have the wrong WP pulley on it. Maybe a smooth one, for the later setup with the serpentine belt. No biggie, just get the right one. Should have ribs and shoulders, just like the crank one.

Just make sure the water pump is the non-serpentine one, since you don't have the serpentine (snake-like) setup.
