1985 Camaro spedo T5 trans and 91 Firebird ECM

I have a 1985 Camaro that was originally a 305 TPI w/auto trans. Years ago it was converted to a T5 with a carbed engine and all wiring ripped out. Now I am putting it back to TPI and have a 1991 Firebird L98 to use as a donor for wiring.

How or what do I need to hook up the correct VSS so that the ecm gets the right signal, the cruise will work and the cable driven spedo will work?

Thanks for finding that! Is that the only option for what I want done? Is there no factory part I could find at a junk yard?

If the t5 is a cable drive speedometer there is not a 4k ppm vss that will just screw on and work. Jags that run, tpi parts and painless wiring would be your choices. I just assume you are using a 1227730 ecm .

I have my cluster out to fix the trip odometer and see that there is a vss on the back. From what I read the older cars had a 2000 pulse signal and the 90-92 had 4000 pulse. Is there an item that will convert the 2000 pulse to 4000 pulse?...well one that would be any cheaper than the Tpiparts vss? I have all a complete 1991 Firebird I am using for parts. Is there anything off that car I could use?

The only other think I can think of if the brown wire from the buffer is a 2k optical signal that use to go to the ecm. The memcal can be reprogramed for a optical input and that signal would go to pin c6 on the 730 ecm. If you are wanting that done I can assist send me a pm.
