t5/ t56 question
Currently have t5 in my 92 camaro. Switching to t56 soon. My question is can I still run t5 slave and master or do I need t56 slave and master

Re: t5/ t56 question
A buddy of mine hss a 3rd gen. With a t56 I asked him and hebsaid he kept his 3rd gen master but has an internal slave. So its a hydraulic throughout bearing. But if anything I would just assume you would only have to replace the slave at the most. Maybe a stainless line wouldnt hurt either

Re: t5/ t56 question
I am right in the middle of doing this exact swap. I searched and found that you use the master from an LT1 t56 and the slave from a 88 Cavalier with the 3rd gen pedals. I am only waiting on my new clutch and a day off so i can install it all. FYI my new t56 master came with braided line (purchased all from rock auto)
just search "88 cavalier slave"
just search "88 cavalier slave"

Re: t5/ t56 question
Hmm never heard of using a 88 cavlier slave. Where did you get that info from? I would just assume you would use a lt1 slave. I mean your using a lt1 clutch and throughout bearing and the tranny has all the lt1 front plates and the fork. To me it doesnt make much sense to use a 88 cavalier slave vs a lt1 slave unless the cavalier slave is like 10 bucks or something

Re: t5/ t56 question
The problem lies in the stroke of the clutch pedal. Read any of the following for more details
