Camaro 86 does not start

Hello, this is my first post in these forums, i would really appreciate any help i can get. I have a 86 camaro. I had it parked for over 1.5 years without running it. Last month i tried to start it and it didn't start. My friend came over to help me out determining the cause of the problem. He told me that it was the fuel pump. So i went ahead and ordered a new pump and fuel sending unit. I replaced them and cleaned the fuel talk. After putting everything back and refiling the tank i was able to start the car for 2 minutes. After shutting it off i tried starting back again and it did not start. Then, yesterday i replaced the spark plugs and still doesn't start.
When i turn the ignition key it starts for less than 1 second when pressing the gas pedal halfway, then stalls completely. I would really appreciate any tips and help i can get, thanks.

Re: Camaro 86 does not start

If you have checked for spark wich sounds like you have it since it does pop off. you haven't completed going through the fuel system, fuel filter and injector. Fuel will start to varnish in 90 days if un stabilized. It will plug the injector filter baskets and can lock up the pintles. hopefully you installed the correct high pressure pump starting bye checking static fuel pressure and constant spark should be your first steps.
