Power Steering on 350 Need Pressure Line Question...
Power Steering on 350 Need Pressure Line Question...
Okay, I have two different power steering pumps I can use but I have yet to find a hose that fits my box except the line I have that is cut in half and running to my return line so no dirt gets into it so... I was thinking of running a compression line but I need a fitting for one of my pumps I'm thinking of going with the Serpentine Belt which this pump is already attached to, does anyone know the actual part # for the hose for this pump or how do I find the part # off this part, I haven't seen any #'s to find out what it came off of so I can get the right hose. I think it came off an older truck but not sure.
The other pump with V Belt Pulley is my backup if I can't get the right pressure hose for the Serpentine setup then I'll swap them around but just need one of these running, been driving without power steering and it's getting old.

Swap the fitting that you want to use into the pump that you want to use. They have a few other pieces inside that are lightly spring loaded. So take care when removing them so that you don't lose track of the order they go back into the pump.
Maintain the same parts together and swap all of the pieces.

Re: Power Steering on 350 Need Pressure Line Question...
That was a big help.
After getting half of the line I needed because AutoZone didn't have the full line I needed I went and got some crimping tool from Lowes it's called Apex or something of that nature it crimped and held it nicely until I was stupid and didn't bleed the system with it off and POP..... hose comes off and Power Steering fluid everywhere... I cleaned up and put it all back together thinking it was a fluke and POP again then I did a little research and found you must BLEED it with the CAR off... which after that I finally have power steering...
