Two notices popped up today while using Third Gen.org !
MALICOUS URLS were blocked by my PC.
MEMBERS BEWARE !
I don't need that sort of BS from an "enthusiast site". if the moderators do not have an explanation, I am going to cancel my affiliation.

Im sure everyone will be devastated.
Most of the time these things are from something on the end-user's computer or from a random advertisement that goes through a third party and although these services are completely legitimate, every once in a while weird things happen and they're usually caught pretty quickly. There's also times the server itself gets hijacked by a virus. So don't assume that The Entity of TGO is after you.
But you can go on blaming the moderators or thirdgen.org if it makes you feel better.
Most of the time these things are from something on the end-user's computer or from a random advertisement that goes through a third party and although these services are completely legitimate, every once in a while weird things happen and they're usually caught pretty quickly. There's also times the server itself gets hijacked by a virus. So don't assume that The Entity of TGO is after you.

I just use Adblock Plus to filter out all ads which is where stuff like that comes from.
If your virus scanners do pick up malicious links, please notify any moderator of the offending link.

I will, thanks. I never had an issue on TGO in the 12 years I have been a member so it was odd to see that.
but it seems this site runs much slower than it used to.
This machine has avast!
