88 Trans AM. Passenger Side Headlight Motor Repair. Need to remove motor?
I have the classic balky headlight situation on my 88 GTA.
I seem to remember reading somewhere that in order to replace the three plastic "inserts" that disintegrate over time, you do not have to actually remove the whole motor, on the passenger side. I took a look, and it looks like you can get a tool on the 3 bolts that hold the cap on the side of the motor, and take the cap off to access the 3 "inserts".
Anyone know? Anyone done it?
Thanks.

Do it the easy way. Four screws and you've got the entire headlight assembly on the bench where you can comfortably clean and grease the gears, and install your new drive bushings.
