Another No start problem.
The Car: 1990 Iroc -z
Problem: Not starting, no crank or attempt at cranking at all.
Considerations: Vats is disengaged in the ecm. I can hear the starter enable relay clicking. Checked grounds, tried messing with ignition switch already.
I also heard a suspicious "click" or "pop" when I first tried to start it. I want to think one of the fusible links is the problem(then why would I be able to hear the starter enable relay)?
I should also add, I CAN hear the fuel pump turning on, and I have accessories on as well.
How this might have started? I had to use butt connectors to extend the reach of the battery cables because I have a mini starter with posts that are more out of reach than stock. The butt connectors came loose, I re-attached them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Another No start problem.
On your starter, if you have 1 small wire to one of the studs on the solenoid, make sure you're connected to the correct one.
Had that problem yesterday, turns out my son attached that electrical lead to the wrong one. We swapped it and she cranked right over !

Check battery voltage. May have discharged from loose butt connectors.

I find this very odd. I feel as though it is not the wiring for the starter that is the problem. I had interior lights, headlights etc.. I even have 12 volts going through the starter enable on both the coil and switch side.
