Don't you need to goto an inspection station to get one? Isn't it illegal to get it any other way?

All 3rd gens are old enough at this point to be eligible for Classic Car plates in PA (older than 15 years). You still need safety inspection (brakes, lights, steering, etc.), but you're given a waiver on emissions which, I'm assuming, is your major problem (modified non-emissions drivetrain). It's about $150, but it's a lifetime registration so you only pay it once. It's also trasferrable to the next owner.

Are you happy now? Good. LEARN WHAT LOOPHOLES THE LAW ALREADY ALLOWS and stop asking for problems by doing blatantly illegal things. Dangerous and completely unnecessary in most cases.
