no power steering
no power steering
I recently bought a 91 T/A with a 350 sbc & no power steering.. apparently the previous owner would run it straight in 1/4 mile races... is there a complete set up I can buy or can someone tell me what exactly in going to need& how much it'll cost me to add the power steering. . Please& Thanks

Re: no power steering
Steering box, lines, pump and mounting bracket are the only parts to a power steering setup on these cars. What you are obviously missing is the complete pump, lines, and mounting bracket. You will need to check whether the box in the car is for power steering or manual steering. The parts to put the car right should cost no more than $100 if you go with used parts. Also if you plan on driving the car I would redo the fuel lines on the car
Re: no power steering
A steering gearbox for manual steering will have no provisions for the hydraulic supply and return lines. If the steering is not fighting you on turns to the point where it requires both hands to turn while parking, the steering box has likely been converted (S-10 truck manual boxes are popular conversions for racing).
For restoring the power steering, a pump, its brackets, the steering box, supply and return hoses, and the belt drive would be necessary.
FWIW, it appears in the one photo you posted that there is a lot more than just the power steering missing from that T/A. On the "plus" side, you did get a free pair of Vise-Grips as a fuel return line clamp out of the deal.
