Fuel Line Question
I recently had new headers and exhaust installed by a local garage. The guy who did it said he needed to install new fuel lines due to fitment issues. He ran new copper lines from the tank to the engine bay, but left the old rubber hoses and clamps that connect to the fuel pump. I want to fix this and make it better. Please let me know what you would suggest. I'm attaching a picture so you can see what I'm talking about. Thanks.

That's pretty much similar to how the factory did it.
In fact, that part looks like it still is factory. Can't tell if it's copper or not; doesn't particularly look like it.
Exhaust shouldn't require changes to the fuel lines. They run down the left side of the car and cross over to the pass side in the tunnel only an inch or 2 behind the firewall, but the exhaust has to be on the right. I'm almost afraid to ask why they thought that was needed.

Yeah, I don't know exactly why he needed to replace them. Pretty sure they are copper though. I might look into something like tube nuts to braided lines for the hard line to soft line connection. The rubber hoses going to my fuel pump are pretty old and probably need to be swapped out anyway. Plus it looks like he stretched them a little tight when re-connecting them, leaving them kinked a little but.

If those are hooker 2460s he probably decided to move the fuel lines because they are about 1/2" away from the headers down low. Probably offset the good he did by using copper. It's a much better conductor of heat than steel.

Yes, they are Hooker 2460's. So, I guess that explains it. Not too happy about the copper lines, but he didn't tell me that when he was doing it. I gave him the go ahead to replace the lines, but I neglected to ask about what material he was going to use.
