Quick question about clutch fork.

I went to summit to buy a gm performance clutch fork. Well they didn't have any left. Gm has discontinued them also. So I bought a fork made by Atp I believe.
I got it home and slid it on the ball but it doesn't seem to hold on to the ball very well. If I roll the blowshield on its side the fork will slide off the ball on its own. Does anybody think this will be an Issue or will it be ok once the throw out bearing is on the tranny shaft?

I want to put this car back together quickly, but I want it done right.

Re: Quick question about clutch fork.

Do you have the za100 or the za133?
I haven't had my second gen Camaro for a while so I am having a hard time visualizing the problem.
The 133 fits pretty tight on my 84 but obviously its a different setup with the 5 speed.
