First of all, there's really no category for this type of question so I guess general is as good as any other.
So I'm looking to (sadly) sell my 1991 Camaro RS since I'm in high school and can't afford to keep up with it anymore.
Here's the car: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/4597198826.html
All the info on it is there. I don't think its worth quite 6k but I'm giving myself some wiggle room.
Now today I got offered this: http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/4536695038.html
I know, its ford, bleh. But I'm looking for cash in the long run and if the car could even bring 7k I think its worth the trade, so I'm looking for knowledgeable people to help me decide if its worth it. Please let's skip the fact that its a mustang and just look at it from a non-biased business type perspective.

Re: Advice
Note: At the end of this whole ordeal (whether thats selling my car or trading for this and then selling) I only need $4500 to make even. For the record that number isn't what I've put into the car it has to do with a deal I have with my dad. Anything over 4500 is profit for me. So for example if maybe it is worth the 9k but there is no market for it at that, but it would sell super quick for 7k then let me know those things too

Re: Advice
Just some constructive criticism (and it's your car and you can ask whatever you'd like) - It's a decent builder, but that's definitely in the $3000-ish range vehicle you have in your hands. $6K will get you a nicely modified thirdgen with a ton of goodies in it with this current economy.
That Mustang is worth more than your car is to the right person, but I wouldn't trade for it. Too difficult to sell them because they were slow, not well recognized, and honestly just ugly vehicles. You'll be sitting on that a LONG time if you swap with that individual.

Re: Advice
ok, strictly speaking from a business standpoint a CLONE anything is quite a bit less than the real thing. then you have to hope whoever did the "cloning" did it right. I wouldn't do it. because .without a very ,very thourough inspection .you could end up with a POS real quick.
This Rusty guy speaks a lot of sense , and to back him up here , I'm gonna point out something in the "cloning" , something REAL important , and it's so subtle that I'll bet most missed it ..........
See the wheels ? See how they only have 4 lugnuts ? Well , back in the day when I was foolish and played with Fords I had one . A "real" mid 70s POS cobra . Since it was a real one in all it's rustang glory, it had the proper 5 lug wheels to go with the 8 cyl engine VS the 4 lug for the 4 cyl . This means that car still has a wimpy 4 cyl rated rear end in it rather than the somewhat less wimpy 8 cyl rated one .
Oh , and the brakes ? Yea , i'm pretty sure the proper 5 lug setup had bigger brakes as well .....
Bottom line = Keep you Camaro

Re: Advice
Looks like you have a $2000 car to me. Sorry to crush your hopes and dreams, but it had to be said.
Sounds like you would never get rid of it for that though, so I guess you're stuck with it. But hey, that Mustang might be worth a little bit more, so if he's foolish enough to trade, I say take the car and run.
