15th TA

Hi again all. One more time. As I was saying, we have a 1984 15th ann. 5.0 v8. It has been sitting for the last 10 yrs and we are now trying to get it running again. The carb. ( electric) was rebuilt about 2 yrs. ago. It's a Rochester R-4-E4 quadrajet. The guy came back to readjust but could not because he said the car needed a new computer. We bought and installed it but could not find him again. Per him the carb has 2 tiny screws on top that are computerized and are used to adjust the air fuel inside of it. Several parts have been replaced, most recently the knock sensor and the idle stop soleanoid. Did'nt help. also the metal tubing tht goes from the smoke pump to the cat. converter, don't know what that is called, has several small holes on it, can this be causing the rough idle? Missing alot. All help greatly appriciated. Any advise?
Arleen & Roland.

Arleen,

So this is the problem...a rough idle? Is it rough on a cold start, but OK warm? Or the opposite...OK cold, but runs rough when warm? Or is it rough at any temperature?

Is it only rough in park, but smooths out in gear, or the opposite?
