I recently installed a quick release system. Now I have the awful "key in the ignition sound". How do I bypass it or disconnect it? Also if someone knows why my instrument cluster backlights aren't working I would greatly appreciate that knowledge. I replaced the fuse, switched to led's. I know they aren't faulty because the check engine light works. Thanks for your time!

The speaker for the ignition chime is under the dash on the drivers side, near your right knee. There's a little black flip down box and its a big black rectangle plugged in next to your turn signal and flasher relays. You can just pull it out and the chime will go away.

it might help a bit more if you completed your profile . people do not know what car you are asking about . could be a Yugo , Lexus , Crown Vic , Toyota , and the list goes on . not meant as a slam , just a little helpful hint . good luck ...

92 Camaro RS. Being as it is a 3rd gen forum I figured that information would be redundant

hang around the forum a while , you will see . BTW firebirds are 3rd gen also . anyway there are many differences between a 1982 & 1992 Camaro , not to mention firebirds .
