Symptoms. What to fix?
My transmission is chugging. There's a whine when accelerating only. Engine loses power with accelerator in same place when engine trouble light comes on. Trouble light is intermittent; it's on or off at start, and on or off after start. Throws off code 54 when lit; fuel pump was changed when engine was swapped, so I don't think it's that or an accessory. One wire from distributor is burnt a bit. Propeller failed recently and was replaced. is my transmission going? Do I have a vacuum leak behind the dash? Ideas?

Re: Symptoms. What to fix?
It's a combination. Head is either cracked or has bad gasket, leaking coolant into cylinder, and one distributor wire is causing miss until pre-ignition.
